Miro is a cloud-based collaboration tool for small to midsize businesses. The solution features a digital whiteboard that can be used for research, ideation, building customer journeys and user story maps, wireframing and a range of other collaborative activities. Although Miro is designed for professional use, it is very user friendly and can easily be used in the classroom. For educators and students is free and can be used as a sharing platform, as a collaborative tool during online lessons. It can also be used as a tool for the flipped classroom, by adding video instructions, PDFs, presentations or documents onto a board.
At DES we used Miro as a tool for collaborative brainstorming on a project we wanted to create with our year 6 students in the coding lesson. We wanted to create a step-counter with the micro:bit and wanted to brainstorm on its features and how we would construct our program.
